Associate Director – Practice Lead

Location: Hyderabad or Bangalore

WinWire technologies is looking for an Associate Director to join their offshore delivery team.  As an Associate Director – Technology, you will build high performing technology teams, define best practices & assist teams to operationalize them and be a trusted leader in cutting edge technologies and innovations (Azure App Dev, Azure infra and DevOps) which will accelerate in delivering world class solutions to WinWire customers.


People First

  • Should involve in the hiring process that includes creating job descriptions, initial screening, shortlisting, and interviewing the candidates for lead and architect cadres.
  • Should define Architecture mentorship program(s) and operationalize them through direct reports.
  • Should encourage team members to be part of WinWire events like Brown Bag sessions, HR conducted events and any other events as applicable.
  • Should collaborate with Learning & Development team to define the training needs for cadres that are technical by nature.
  • Should collaborate with Project Managers to understand the concerns raised on the direct reports. Mentor and coach the direct reports to resolve the respective concerns.
  • Despite these efforts, the concerns are not getting resolved, work with HR team to initiate the Performance Improvement Program (PIP) as per the organization policies.
  • Should identify team members for the appropriate reward and recognition programs.
  • E.g., Spot Award, Quarterly Award and Annual Award.

Technology Leadership

  • Should define technology adoption and governance process for the new or upcoming cutting-edge technologies.
  • Should define architecture review process for all development, infrastructure, and assessment projects as part of TQA process.
  • Should define and work with the L&D department and drive readiness of the identified new/ upcoming cutting-edge technologies.
  • Should demonstrate skills by building demo-able solutions and proof of concepts.
  • Should contribute/ provide inputs to the practice team to conduct Brown Bag sessions / submit blogs for demonstrating WinWire’s technical capabilities.
  • Should participate and contribute to events, conferences, and webinars to share insights in the identified technology areas.
  • Should provide necessary technical assistance/ review to support automation of WinWire’s internal processes.

Execution Excellence

  • Should be well-versed with all customer technologies landscape.
  • Should drive, track, and assure technical quality assurance process is followed for all the development, infrastructure, and assessment projects.
  • Should conduct regular review with the Architects of the project to ensure smooth Technical delivery.
  • Should work with the Resource Management team in identifying the technical team for starting a new project/ executing existing project.
  • Should identify skills required for the technical team to perform well in their roles and collaborate with Learning & Development team to upskill them.
  • Should own and work with the Delivery team on GO-GREEN plan for any RED/AMBER projects due to Technical Quality.
  • Should adhere to WinWire delivery processes.



  • Degree in Computer Science or related stream from a reputable institution.
  • 18+ years of total IT experience with at least 10 years in software application development, 5 years in application / solution architecture and 3 years in technology practice development.
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft platform during the initial stage of the career preferred.
  • Should be able to validate effort estimation, work breakdown structure, scope and timeline for app dev, infrastructure and Devops based engagements.
  • Should be able to review solution design and implementation approaches for all app dev, infrastructure & Devops engagements.
  • Should be able to design and develop applications using Microsoft Technology Stack (Azure Cloud. Microsoft .NET, Microsoft SQL Server, Azure Resource Manager Templates or Azure Blueprints or Terra Form).
  • Should be certified in Azure, preferably Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
  • Strong experience working in an Onsite-Offshore model.
  • Superior problem-solving skills, leadership qualities, influencing, communicating, and consulting skills, team/interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills; works well under pressure and with minimal supervision.
