The client is a premier healthcare provider in the US, operating across 200+ locations.

Business Challenge

A leading healthcare company operates across more than 200 locations. But the analytics foundation it was working with had started to show its age. Tableau and SSRS supported reporting, while Oracle Data Warehouse and Informatica ETL handled the back-end work. As reporting needs grew, the environment became progressively more expensive, more fragile to manage, and significantly slower to deliver what teams needed.

Legacy analytics reduced performance and raised complexity

  • Data was difficult to integrate and standardize.

  • Tableau dashboards and SSRS reports ran into performance limits.

Customer needed a cloud-based analytics platform that reduced costs, simplified day-to-day operations, and helped teams make faster decisions—without disrupting ongoing business reporting.

WinWire Solution

Our approach to modernizing client’s analytics infrastructure centered around leveraging Azure’s comprehensive capabilities. Initially, we migrated extensive data pipelines from Oracle and Informatica environments to Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory.

Modernize data pipelines

WinWire moved key pipelines from Oracle and Informatica into Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory. At the same time, we put metadata in place across Azure services so teams could track data and keep quality consistent.

We also cut down manual work by using Azure Functions, Power Automate, and Azure Data Services for ingestion, transformation, and governance. More processes were then migrated to Azure Data Services and Power Apps, improving speed and reducing errors.

Standardize reporting on Power BI

Next came reporting. WinWire migrated about 400 Tableau and SSRS reports to Power BI. We used WinWire’s Tableau-to-Power BI accelerator to move faster, while improving report consistency and usability.

Enterprise Data Governance

Implemented extensive metadata frameworks across Azure services to ensure governance and data quality.
